Eligibility: Any ALB recipient with an established cutting-edge product, project, concept, service, or nonprofit that contributes to technological advancement and innovative solutions for world betterment.
At the Anthony L. Byrd Higher Educational Fund (ALB), we believe that honor is just the beginning. Our ALB Grant program transcends the ordinary—it’s a launchpad for the extraordinary.
ALB recipients aren’t just dreamers; they’re doers. We’re thrilled to host the ALB Grant Competition, where ten (10) ALB Grants will be awarded at Scholar’s Day in a Shark Tank-style competition, totaling over $50,000! The ALB Grant is set up to fund ALB recipients and their initiatives aspiring for world betterment.
If you're spearheading an innovative project with an entrepreneurial mindset, this program is tailor-made for you. It’s not just about the money; it’s about amplifying your impact in the world.
We seek projects across STEM, Humanities and World Betterment, spanning domains like Engineering, Medicine, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Logistics and Supply Chain, App Development, Media, Social Research, Global & Social Good, Non-profit, Microfinance, Conservation, and Climate Change.
Finalists will be connected with mentors who will help the competing finalists hone and polish their presentation pitches to further improve their chances in the competition.
The top 10 finalists will be required to participate in a live competition as part of the grant requirements. This will be an in-person event with a panel of judges where the finalists will compete to earn one of the five (5) $10,000 or one of the five (5) $1,000 grants.
